Hey Ladies, hope you’re all having a good winter break! With fall quarter behind us, we’re getting into the core of our season, and tournaments are going to start happening a lot more frequently. We have three PIVA tournaments left ahead of us, including championships, and it’s really important for us to transfer all the hard work we’ve done in practice these past few months into our game play and continue to kick butt! Everyone should try to make it to the gym a few times over break, or even do some at home workouts, so that we can pick up right where we left off when we start back up again. In addition to the PIVA tournaments, we have a couple of travel tournaments coming up as well. The competition at these tournaments is going to be pretty stiff, and a lot tougher than what we’ve played against so far, but I know that we’re good enough to hang with the big dogs as long as we keep pushing ourselves and continuing to put in the hard work during practices. A tentative schedule can be found under the link ’2012-2013 Tournaments’ at the top of the page. The schedule isn’t totally set in stone, but we just wanted to let you girls know a little bit of what’s to come in the remainder of our season. Hope everyone continues to have a wonderful break, and we’ll see you all when the quarter starts again!
Hey ladies, hope everyone’s been having a great summer! To kick off the new school year we’ll be holding open gyms again at the IMA in gym C, starting on Wednesday 9/12! We’ll try to get some scrimmage type games going, it depends on the turn out, but either way it will be a lot of fun! They’ll be held on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30pm and Sundays from 3:30-5:30pm up through the start of classes. Anyone interested can show up, whether you plan on trying out for the team or not, just be sure to bring your husky card so you can gain entry to the IMA. Additionally, there are co-ed open gyms which are held on Fridays from around 4-7pm. These are really laid back and a lot of fun, plus you’ll get to meet a bunch of people from the uw volleyball scene. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact us via email or through the blog! Hope to see you guys on the court!

Hope you’re all having a great summer

We have an important announcement concerning our tournament schedule. We will no longer be playing at Oregon State University on November 12th-13th, seeing as it is now an all men’s tournament.
Enjoy your time off!

The official 2011/2012 season has begun! Practices are now held at the IMA Gym C on Mondays & Wednesdays from 8:30-10:30 pm and on Sundays from 6:30-8:30 pm. The team welcomes new recruits as we will not have our final teams picked for another week or two, so anyone still interested in playing is encouraged to come on down to the gym! We are looking forward to a great season and hope to see you all on the court.

We’ve just got confirmation that we have the spot for open gym practice! YAY!
So – here’s the deal: M/W 7:30pm-9:30pm in IMA Gym C happening until school starts and we switch to our regular practice times (REMINDER: Mon/Wed this year not Tue/Thurs).
Everyone, and I repeat EVERYONE, is welcome. So whether you’re a new freshman or a returner, come on down for some volley fun. Everything’s going to be pretty laid back until school starts – but that doesn’t mean we’re not going to be having an awesome time – so you don’t want to miss out if you can go.
Can’t wait to see all of you~

Practice will officially start on Wednesday, September 28th. Practice days and times are Sundays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, and Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. Right now we are trying to get players together for some pre-season practices (to help get back into the swing of things) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:30, so if you are interested in early September practices please let us know so we can get those started!
