We did it! LADIES.
We sacrificed hours of a long and daring drive through the pass into Eastern Washington. No, not to go to Pullman’s (Cr)Apple Cup, but to obtain our own victory in Cheney; a victory more worthwhile than the hopeless but heartful loss our football team received. Eastern Washington University’s Invitational was our first long-awaited tournament of the year. In the small four-team tournament, UW Purple won the gold with a 5-0 streak. UW Gold came in 3rd place, playing tough and tiring matches during pool play, rattling many teams with their scrappiness. Overall, our first tournament was a great learning experience for both teams as we finally got to put our long hours of practice into an official setting. Pictures will be posted soon!
